Hello and welcome to THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE.

This forum was set up on the 5th of September 2009 in order to give Yorkshire football fans a place to come and interact with fellow fans of all 10 league clubs in our county.

We operate a controlled environment, with each team having their own forum and moderator, to ensure everyone has equal rights. The main reason this forum was set up, was to allow its members the freedom to express themselves without the restraints some other 'multi-club' forums adopt.

However, abuse of other members will not be tolerated. Please keep discussions civil. If you are not prepared to behave appropiately, please don't register. Friendly banter between rival clubs is encouraged, personal abuse towards other members will result in a permanent ban.

Some sections of this forum are restricted to members, so to enjoy the full benefits of the site please register. Registered users also enjoy this website without the advertisements at the top of the page.

'Barnsley Football Club have parted company with first-team Manager Keith Hill following today's defeat to Blackburn Rovers.

Reds Assistant Manager Dave Flitcroft has been asked to take charge of first-team affairs for the match at Peterborough United.

Another statement will be made in the near future.'


Think today's match was the final nail in the coffin...playing his mates from Rochdale over players like Hassell was ultimately Keith's downfall and has been coming for sometime. Still gonna be a scrap and whoever comes in will need to work miracles to keep us up but we might as well give it a go.

Think SOD would be good, but he takes a lot of time to put his mark on a side and we only have 20 odd games to save ourselves...appoint SOD if we wanted to throw in the towel and prepare for League 1 as he'd be good over a long period of time.

All the usual candidates are getting thrown into the ring...Phil Brown, Nick Barmby, Gary Megson, Billy Davies, Steve Cotterill. Not an inspiring list but we are hardly gonna attract a big name. You never know, we may end up with a suprise like when Donny appointed Dean Saunders out of the blue.

Sod for Preston, Only there to see what crap he could be taking on and if he could turn driftwood into mighty oaks.

I think the trouble with Sean for Barnsley is he is a lnng term manager and and at the moment you need a "quick fix"
