Sad sad event and still so little real admission of guilt either from the SYP and by some accounts a few of the Liverpool fans on that day. The work done by the kind people of Sheffield after the tragedy is also over-looked.

Re: Hillsborough Disaster
Only good thing that came out of it was getting grounds made safe but as we all know, fans go to the big games, on the booze then dash to the ground late. No one wants to queue especially if the game is near KO.,have seen a few gates pushed in on my travels.
Also saw gates at Ayresome forced open my Manure fans.Thegates and supporting walls fell outwards onto Boro supporters who were passing.2 sadly died. No big fuss about it as it was before Hillsborough.

Re: Hillsborough Disaster
Is it the same documentary that I watched back in April? Very moving if so.
An awful day. I'm too young to remember the disaster properly (I was only 5), but having faced the Leppings Lane end from the Kop for pretty much all of my Wednesday supporting life, there's seldom been a game when it hasn't crossed my mind. Myself and two mates went up to the stadium the night before our game against Southampton in April (the 20th anniversary) to leave our scarves.
Whenever I think of it, I always remember Peter Jones' words from the day;

I have seen the programme before so more then likely it is the one you mean, it still shocks to the core when you watch something about it, a bit like the Bradford Fire, its hard to believe it was over 20 years ago, i remember watching the telly and seeing the news break, its one of those things you never forget.
