Hello and welcome to THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE.

This forum was set up on the 5th of September 2009 in order to give Yorkshire football fans a place to come and interact with fellow fans of all 10 league clubs in our county.

We operate a controlled environment, with each team having their own forum and moderator, to ensure everyone has equal rights. The main reason this forum was set up, was to allow its members the freedom to express themselves without the restraints some other 'multi-club' forums adopt.

However, abuse of other members will not be tolerated. Please keep discussions civil. If you are not prepared to behave appropiately, please don't register. Friendly banter between rival clubs is encouraged, personal abuse towards other members will result in a permanent ban.

Martis signs, that gives Rovers options. At the summer Shackell has to make a decision. Aceept a reasonable wage or try to find a club to take him. Rovers are now in a much stronger position, we don't need a great big lad at the back. So the day comes and here is your option jason, play and enjoy your football at this price, or take your gamble and there's the door.
Woods needs to be given a better contract this summer along with the others out of contract. He is the future for this club, he will be the one to give us the push to go one more step on in another two years time. Stock by then will have moved on. His worth has been noted and more sharks will be floating around next year.
Billy 's gamble will also not come off. Blackwell has secured a couple of good defenders today, and will no doubt make the playoffs again despite his supporters back biting at him all the time. He will be at Sheff. United next year. Billy has an option at that point similar to jason, will he take it? I have my doubts, but I do want to be proved wrong. In the mean time we need to get Brooker fit and scoring, not just to get at Brian! (Good option though it is) It is important that Rovers are in the Jason situation with Billy. This is the offer, or there's the door. Brooker will give us that power.
An interesting second half of the season to follow folks!

How very mercenary of you Bri! Brooker needs to be fit and scoring again BEFORE the end of this season. Without it Rovers have no leverage over negotiations. I am sure he will be, and when he is scoring you will cheer him on despite it costing you! lol!

Very good post and your right in every way east york. Smile
Very intresting times ahead and even if billy and Jason dont sign or we lose stock its not the end of the world.
The club will continue doing buissness as normal.
Players come and go,thats life. Sad

With how rovers fans go on it sounds like if we lose them the club dies, well it wouldnt be the end of the world.
We lost Green and moved on.
We lost Mills and moved on.
We lost Wellens and moved on.

The club will move on. cheers

That's a brilliant attitude and some players in teams need to remember that. That's why I like Lee Clarke. He says pretty much every week that all the players must earn their spot next week and he showed that on Saturday by leaving Theo Robinson out. Players can't expect to play no matter what their performance or behaviour is like.
