The Yorkshire Football Forums
Hello and welcome to THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE.

This forum was set up on the 5th of September 2009 in order to give Yorkshire football fans a place to come and interact with fellow fans of all 10 league clubs in our county.

We operate a controlled environment, with each team having their own forum and moderator, to ensure everyone has equal rights. The main reason this forum was set up, was to allow its members the freedom to express themselves without the restraints some other 'multi-club' forums adopt.

However, abuse of other members will not be tolerated. Please keep discussions civil. If you are not prepared to behave appropiately, please don't register. Friendly banter between rival clubs is encouraged, personal abuse towards other members will result in a permanent ban.

Some sections of this forum are restricted to members, so to enjoy the full benefits of the site please register. Registered users also enjoy this website without the advertisements at the top of the page.

THANK YOU for visiting THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE and we hope to see you posting here in the future.

SULLIVAN NOT CONSIDERING RETIREMENT

Doncaster goalkeeper Neil Sullivan has revealed he is not yet ready to start considering retirement from the game.

The 40-year-old remains the No 1 at the Keepmoat Stadium after 18 years as a professional and insists he has not given too much thought to hanging up his boots.

Sullivan said: "I still feel fit, I still feel fine, I'm injury free, so I'm not really thinking about it.

"It comes from everyone else really. It's just one of those things when you reach a certain age. Every mistake you make is because you're too old. Every save you make is because you're using the wealth of your experience. You can't win.

"It's the same as when you're starting out. When you're young and you make mistakes it's because you're inexperienced, and when you make saves it's because your young and you've got no pressure on you. So it makes no odds really."

Sullivan signed professional terms at first club Wimbledon in 1992 and after a brief spell at Chelsea moved on to Tottenham and then Leeds before arriving at the Keepmoat, initially on loan, in November 2006.

Great as our Sulli is , he still hasn't learnt after 18 years to a) kick a ball properly and b) speed up and vary the game from his goalkicks. lol!
