If we decide to play well and not let the egoes get in the way, then I think 2-1 England, Defoe and Barry.

Re: England V's Croatia
1-1
Looking at the Slovenia game, unless Cappello plays Defoe upfront and drops Heskey, i can only see us getting a draw. Croatia as you know are the strongest in the group, and are likely to cause us problems if Kranjcar and Eduardo play.
I hope to be proved wrong, but to be fair even if we don't win we will easily qualify, this seeding malarkey really goes our way ALMOST every year.......

Good post Shem, I'm with you on that assessment. I also see a scrappy draw with possibly a 'sending-off' with the current attitudes the team's have to each other.Shem_Swfc wrote:1-1

I'll agree with that too. England looked less than convincing against Slovenia, and Croatia are still not guaranteed a playoff spot, and have a lot to play for.

2-2 I reckon, Defoe and Lamps for us.
Anyone else found it difficult to get excited about England matches since McLaren did his thing? Or is that just me?

No Fev, sadly I find International footy generally a bore these days and miss club footy when these breaks happen. I feel strangely out of sorts ( a bit like those final few weeks of pre-seson ) when they occur.FevTyke wrote:2-2 I reckon, Defoe and Lamps for us.

Bring it on Satdi I say although currently you may be feeling a tad more apprehensive than me, however new managers bring better results usually ..............so chin up.

We owe them big style. Just want to shut their manager up. I predict an England win probably 2-1. We'll be winning 2-0 with about 5 minutes to go then let them score a stupid goal to keep us on the edge of our seats rather than being comfortable :joker:

Sounds like our team but we rarely get to 2-0 unhappily, the Cardiff match was an exception.Transporter wrote:We owe them big style. Just want to shut their manager up. I always keep my chin up, I'm eternally optimistic. Even when we're rock bottom of the Championship with only 1 solitary point and an inexperienced, former League 2 manager at the helm...
