Sky Blues Target Irvine.
Taken from Sheff Wednesday Vital
[quote]Coventry City have put Wednesday boss Alan Irvine top of their 'wanted list' to replace Chris Coleman, according to reports today.
The Sky Blues parted company with Coleman following a poor run of results which left them closer to the Championship basement than the play-off spots.
And City have drawn up a list of candidates to fill the vacant manager's position at the Ricoh Arena - with Irvine thought to be leading the list.
Irvine arrived at Hillsborough midway through last season but, despite a decent return of results, couldn't stop the Owls falling into League One.
He's already started planning for a campaign in England's third tier with the Owls but a switch back to the Championship could well be tempting.
Crystal Palace boss Paul Hart and Tony Mowbray, sacked by SPL giants Celtic, are also thought to be in the running.

Re: Sky Blues Target Irvine.
Why would you ever leave anyone to go to a club like Coventry?

Hahaha yeh but Coventry? nothing town nothing team
Would of thought he'd much rather have a good challenge enxt season and get a promotion under his name. instead of mid table finishes

I agree, better to win promotion with a faded''so called giant'' than manage a team that have never seen any glory days. Their fans must be bored to tears!

Everything about them strikes me as boring, even the new ground.
Do one of you lads know what "sent to Coventry" means? heard it on this thing on telly (coach trip) "was like being sent to Coventry on that coach today"
