Rovers head to Devon for a pre-season tournament
[quote]Doncaster Rovers are heading for Devon this summer, as Sean O'Driscoll's side take on Football League, SPL and non-league sides in the 2010 Joma South West Challenge Cup tournament - in preparation for the 2010/11 nPower Championship season.
Rovers will be joined in the tournament by the likes of Leyton Orient, Shrewsbury Town and Kilmarnock and will compete in the week-long tournament.
In addition, a selection of non-league sides will also compete as well as offering grounds to host matches in the competition.
Taking place between Monday 19th July and Sunday 25th July, the tournament is set to provide the majority of preparation ahead of Rovers third season in The Championship.
The full list of teams competing in the competition are Accrington Stanley, Barnstaple Town, Bideford, Eastleigh, Havant & Waterlooville, Ilfracombe Town, Leyton Orient, Kilmarnock, Rushden & Diamonds, Shrewsbury Town and Truro City.

Last season, the winning team in the South West Challenge Cup were none other than Championship Play-Off winners Blackpool, signalling the potential preparation that the tournament could have for Doncaster Rovers.
Jon Haile, Joma UK Marketing Director, said: "By any measurement I think we have secured a superbly balanced and interesting line-up of full strength first team squads."
"We have a blend of local teams and teams from further afield and we hope it will be a momentous tournament and a festival of football for the real supporters."

Thats a great place to go for pre-season, Devon reminded me of Spain, we had snow when we left L&B and got off there to 20 degrees and palm trees

Might be a bit late to organise that Matty with people already having holidays booked, but you can always suggest it tommorow night..
