Well here we are....
Apologies for not posting much recently, but I honestly find all the pre-season transfer talk deadly dull.
Injuries and suspensions are going to make the 1st month "interesting", but I'm pretty happy with what Larry has done so far.
We look to have put together a squad rather than a team. No marquee signings, but it must be the worst kept secret that we don't have the capital for that right now.
Sanchez Watt, the lad loves it at ER and he could have a great season.
Llloyd Sam, again looks to be having fun in a white shirt and the crowd are right behind him already.
(Shame about "our" Billy but the lads all heart, and that will go down well at Leeds. Allspeed his recovery.)
Goals ??? Just watch Gradel when he comes back from suspension, and Becchio will enjoy not playing second fiddle to Beckford. Generally, it's obvious we're looking to score from the whole team rather than just a talismanic centre forward. (It should have happened last year, but it's tough to bench a 30+ striker.)
There's been plenty of defensive signings too and it's probably more important for these guys to develop an understanding, so I will wait and see.
But, yeah can't wait for tomorrow teatime.
I reckon there could be a few goals, and I reckon 3-2 to the mighty whites.
BTW Thank god for the return of English football, and I know you're all with me there.

Good to finally see someone say something posiive about Paynter, i honestly reckon if he started the season fit he could definetly go on to get 15-20 goals for us, classy act and like you say wears his heart on his sleeve
Against Wolves we looked to play more like a team imo, could be to do with not having Beckford playing
