The Yorkshire Football Forums
Hello and welcome to THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE.

This forum was set up on the 5th of September 2009 in order to give Yorkshire football fans a place to come and interact with fellow fans of all 10 league clubs in our county.

We operate a controlled environment, with each team having their own forum and moderator, to ensure everyone has equal rights. The main reason this forum was set up, was to allow its members the freedom to express themselves without the restraints some other 'multi-club' forums adopt.

However, abuse of other members will not be tolerated. Please keep discussions civil. If you are not prepared to behave appropiately, please don't register. Friendly banter between rival clubs is encouraged, personal abuse towards other members will result in a permanent ban.

THANK YOU for visiting THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE and we hope to see you posting here in the future.

Blackpool To Bid £500,000 For Adam Hammill Empty Blackpool To Bid £500,000 For Adam Hammill

Post by NIGHTMARE Thu 28 Oct - 9:21:03

Blackpool boss Ian Holloway is trying to launch a cut-price £500,000 January move for Barnsley forward Adam Hammill.

Former Liverpool trainee Hammill, 22, is attracting interest from Wigan, Bolton, Newcastle and West Brom after impressing as one of the in-form players in the Championship this season.

Hammill represents a bargain in January as he has a £500,000 buy-out clause in his contract and the Premier League clubs are circling.

Merseyside-born Hammill joined Barnsley in August 2009 but Liverpool are now fearful they may have made a mistake in letting him go because of the top flight interest in him.

Hammill, part of Liverpool's 2006 FA Youth Cup winning side, starred in Barnsley's 5-2 win over Leeds, playing a part in all of the goals.

Barnsley entertain Hull on Saturday in a live TV game and the scouts will be out in force to see Hammill who looks increasingly likely to step up into the Premier League in January.

if they offer the get out clause fee we got no option in keeping him. End of. It would be a great pity but our hands are tied.
