Championship Interest In Blanchett?
Sky Sports are reporting that Crewe Alexandra left back Danny Blanchett is the subject of interest from Doncaster Rovers and Brighton.
The 23 year old only joined the Alex back in the summer from Peterbrough after a successful trial. He's cemented his place as the club's first choice left back in the meantime, although has occasionally had to fight for his place with Mat Mitchel-King.
He's had a solid season and being only on a one year deal it's fair to say the majority of fans agree that he should be offered a new contract sooner rather than later.
Whether he's good enough for a Championship club, as both Brighton and Doncaster will most likely be come August, is very much up for debate. Solid on his day, he can put in some poor performances when it's not his day.
I think he'll be quite lucky to secure a move to the Championship this summer, in fact a move to League One would almost be surpassing expectations.
I'd guess the 'rumour' is a bit of an agent fantasy, using Sky Sports as a feeler to see what offers could be out there for Blanchett.
It doesn't look good for his future at Gresty Road either way, but Championship?
What do you reckon?

Probably just agents talk....Crewe fans don't seem to rate him anyway, some don't think he is good enough for League one never mind the championship...maybe the Blunts could have a look at him..
