Naylor wants new deal....
Doncaster Rovers defender Richard Naylor is keeping his fingers crossed that he will convince the Rovers management that they should extend his initial short-term contract past the end of the year.
Naylor, who was rather surprisingly released by Leeds in the summer, missed the middle part of last season with a knee injury, but returned to the first team, with his first team return being, ironically, their 5-2 home win over Rovers.
Naylor told the Doncaster Star recently: “The short-term deal suited both parties. Rovers had a few injuries and I wanted to get my foot in the door and show what I could do both on and off the field. We both said at the time that we’d like to extend it if everything went well and there’s no reason why it won’t.”
He continued: “There were other options apart from Rovers but one of the reasons that I decided to come here, apart from the fact that it was fairly local from my home, was the manager. I met a lot of managers over the summer but he most impressed me. Doncaster’s style of football was also a contributing factor. I was brought up at Ipswich playing a passing game; that’s the way I was schooled - and I was keen to get involved in that here.”

Very telling that players recognise the genius that is SO'D while pillocks who have never got past FIFA 2011 are bloody experts.

More than a few then the 'negatives' can have some of the superstars from the past back. Oh and their glorious Conference status being a big fish in a very small pond eventually.

To be honest if the fans got there wish and SOD did get the boot (which he will not) but i think it will depend on the sort of man JR will bring in to see if we have a mass exodus
