Well....I had a really good 2 hour meeting with him today, didn't expect it to be so long, left at 4.25. He was very easy to talk to and I advise people instead of moaning on here to go and speak with him, you will be made more than welcome.

Some great offers will be made over the next few days, some have been put out tonight. Hopefully some good news re ticket prices for the Donny match will surface this week as well.

People really need to come to the table a bit more, I told him I don't agree with the £30 cost as it's putting off away fans as well, but people need to buy into the 1912 offer more. It isn't hard work to get one and it's a good saving. People now have a fantastic offer of the 1 2 3 tickets for some belting xmas games, and the half season pass offer is great value.

The club are only charging the prices to try and keep things a float, Barnsley fans not going are only going to de-rail Barnsley football club. I know times are hard, but other teams in poor area's are still getting bigger crowds. We all need to get behind the club and work together more.

That to me would suggest we're in talks with DRFC to do the same thing we did last season and charge a lower price for each game

All these clubs at our level have now got to get real for both home and away fans. They ALL have to try and strike a balance between existence and fan attendances. Quite simply many are going to have to adapt to a society where many options are open to both young and old for entertainment..........the product has to improve i.e. the value for money of the product has to be comparable to other forms of entertainment.
I spoke to someone at work who has just spent the weekend in London, whilst there the four of them (2x adults + 2x children) spent 5-6 hours at London Zoo spending only £60 on a day's family ticket. Compare that with less than 2 hours at a footy ground & £27-36 per.adult and you can see where the problem lies.
The players are being paid too much and the game is simply like a python swallowing it's own tail. Shocked

Sounds promising nightmare, i really think the 1 2 3 deal is good for Barnsley fans too. Only thing is i still don't see many going for it, they moan the prices are to high but when ever the club do offers they still don't take them up on it. I hope they prove me wrong like.

On another note, you know we always win 3-1 yorkie!! Even with our 6 fingers and toes we can beat you caravan dwellers!! lol!

Great to see some commonsense from both clubs , this is always a heavily anticipated fixture and deserves as many as possible going to it.
