Oh dear, hope this is not the start of things to come,no disrespect to Chesterfield but the lad is good enough for the Championship never mind this league.Where we get anybody as good from the free transfer market.

Re: Sam Hird
We are in a bloody muddle aren't we and we need to get on with it pronto. We are talking about talented young players who need to know where they are. Ffs get the 'firesale' out of the way and get those we can/want to keep sorted out they have careers to persue.
Seems , contrary to opinion, that we were never prepared to contemplate a demotion even after the 2 very poor seasons we've had.

Trouble is the club may not be in a position to fight to the death for one of our own.

Re: Sam Hird
My reliable source let me know about this last week whilst we were on holiday. It seems that there were offers from other 1st Div clubs and at least one Championship club. At the end of the day Rovers weren't able to match Chesterfields offer and we might even see Sam with certain type of arm band at Chesterfield! Sam is young with a young familly so good luck to him, I thought it was a shame him leaving as he would have done a good job for us this season come to that he wasn't bad last season. JMHO
