Boro Wheel
Went past the Wheel in center Square Middlesbrough last night and it looked wonderful.
Illuminated and with the Christmas tree next to it it looked really festive.

Bet it looks great and should be fun but as you rightly said there are always folk who will slag it off........you just can't win. It's always 3 steps forward and 2 steps backward ! I'm afraid that has and always been the Northern psyche.

What you mean our townsfolk are 'blogging' on your sites now. Look forward to some photos feeling miserable today. It's bloody freezing here, I've got the heating on full blast and the gas fire and still I can't thaw out...........some bloody day off this is turning out to be!

Re: Boro Wheel
I went down to see Halifax lights on a couple of weeks ago. There was a big thing made about how the council had bought new lights for this year and how wonderful they were. It's awful to be polite. All they have managed to do is by lots of blue lights. How are they even Christmassy!!!!! The mist exciting thing is a sigh that says Merry Christmas, the rest is literally lots and lots of blue lights!!!! I was very unimpressed after all the hype that was made.

Re: Boro Wheel
yes it looks absolutely superb.
the fountains set it off as does the christmas tree.
That centre square is one of the largest public squares in Europe and hosts some great events like Middlesbrough music live.
The other year they had the proms from there.
great photo that Thornaby. i still can't get the hang of posting photo's on here. (just dumb)

Re: Boro Wheel
I'd love to go on the Boro wheel , but i'm that scared of heights i honestly think i'd give myself a heart attack.
i even have to make sure i get tickets near the front when i go to matches.
i wouldn't even contemplate goin to the away game at newcastle.
