Hello and welcome to THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE.

This forum was set up on the 5th of September 2009 in order to give Yorkshire football fans a place to come and interact with fellow fans of all 10 league clubs in our county.

We operate a controlled environment, with each team having their own forum and moderator, to ensure everyone has equal rights. The main reason this forum was set up, was to allow its members the freedom to express themselves without the restraints some other 'multi-club' forums adopt.

However, abuse of other members will not be tolerated. Please keep discussions civil. If you are not prepared to behave appropiately, please don't register. Friendly banter between rival clubs is encouraged, personal abuse towards other members will result in a permanent ban.

Some sections of this forum are restricted to members, so to enjoy the full benefits of the site please register. Registered users also enjoy this website without the advertisements at the top of the page.

Anybody in here play Sunday League??

Can't say my team is any good, just lost 11-1 tongue

Improving though so i guess thats good Smile

i wish i had a job that allowed me to play sunday league, unfortunately i work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern so it's not feasible.

i have to settle for playing 5/7 a side at the keepmoat every other thursday with mates (shifts permitting).

Just started managing one this season.

First game in charge and I get the worst decision against us I have ever seen.

Corner ball comes in , keeper catches it with 2 hands.

Well over 2 seconds later there forward comes bounding in to our keeper scoops the ball out of he's hands and the ball drops over the line.

Everybody including the opposition are pissing themselves laughing.

To my horror the ref points to the centre circle for a goal.

To say I was unhappy was an understatement.

Thats happened to us about 3 times last season, also somebody on'tother team crossed ball into box, it bounced behind the net then bounced back again, and they scored a goal from it Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

We played right well on sunday though, big improvement on that 11-1 thumping week before, we lost 1-0 to Bentley WE, But we should have scored about 5 in second half Crying or Very sad
