Boro apparently bid 3.5mill for Celtic striker Scott McDonald

MIDDLESBROUGH have made a £3.5million bid for Celtic striker Scott McDonald.
Boro manager Gordon Strachan has met what he believes is Celts' valuation of McDonald who is recovering from a hernia operation.
The offer will be highly tempting following the arrival of £1.8m Morten Rasmussen.
Now it's up to Celts boss Tony Mowbray and chief executive Peter Lawwell to decide if they want to cash in.
Hoops skipper Stephen McManus is in limbo over his loan move to the Riverside.
Big Mick is keen to move, but Boro are refusing to pay Celts' £500,000 loan fee.

I suppose it could be called Scottish sense of humour Boro don't seem to have a pot to p*ss in and all of a sudden we have 3.5mill,naaaaaa.
We can't even afford the £500,000 for the loan fee.
Mind after being mugged by PNE in the St Ledger deal "£1.5". I ain't suprised Boro are reluctant to payout anymore fee's.
