Peter Thorne could be in line to hand Stuart McCall a timely fitness boost by being named in the Bantams squad for this weekend's trip to Torquay.
The veteran striker is expected to be part of a Bradford match day for the first time since October when City take on the Gulls this Saturday.
Thorne hasn't featured in the league for McCall since August and his probable return couldn't come at a better time for City as they prepare for their must win match at Plainmoor.
The Bantams top scorer from the last two seasons could even be joined for the journey south by Steven O'Leary.
O'Leary, who's latest one month contract runs out at the weekend, has suffered even worst luck than Thorne in the injury department.
The Irish midfielder has only feature in one league match all season for Bradford since signing in the summer and will be desperate to prove his worth to the Bantams boss.
Both Thorne and O'Leary came through Wednesday's reserve match with Rotherham United unscathed and McCall may feel that their showing in that match is evidence enough to enable him to add them to his travelling party.
