We operate a controlled environment, with each team having their own forum and moderator, to ensure everyone has equal rights. The main reason this forum was set up, was to allow its members the freedom to express themselves without the restraints some other 'multi-club' forums adopt.

Thats just what someone has heard at the game and been passed on to someone on VSC; there's no official confirmation of that. Would have been far more convincing to win tonight then pull out or pull out after Blackpool's stunt last night

Cryptic is an understatement, we're losing 4-0 against some amateurs, playing subs that aren't official for the comp. and basically making fools of ourselves. There better be a bloody good excuse for this debacle. Mad

Yeah - something like they changed the rules on subs the day before we travelled, leaving SOD implying he wouldn't have entered if he'd known then Blackpool make ALL their unofficial subs at half time yesterday and nothing is done. Personally I'd have preferred them to just withdraw but maybe we felt we should play the final group stage game. After all surely no one goes to a game assuming a win is guaranteed just because the opponents are lower league Mad

i think this is quite simply a case of SOD telling the guys to go out tonight and toss it off so we can leave the tournament after the rule changes.

yup, but it doesn't really matter as we were going to pull out of the competition anyway, so no point breaking any bones to win the match.

Sounds like we did the right thing and ensured by losing that we didn't cock it up for the other teams wishing to stay in the comp. We were right to play with folk paying to go etc, and giving a 'bye' in a knockout comp. would have been an even worse course to take.
