Re: POMPEY AGAIN
If the winding up order gets granted it will be effectively immediately and they will not be able to compete till the 2011/2012 season as all leagues are full

Be a nice little night out for you boys that. Maybe a stay at a place built on a foundation instead of on wheels. Although it may be overwhelming that we have electricity and a decent football team

Ho ho ho, where's the witty Dale gone? I wouldn't even send my worst enemy to spend a weekend in that craphole. Pikey = caravan joke is now wearing thin , especially when you have to go and visit your town which much resembles a gypsy encampment.
You got a decent footy team, you have an international airport, you have one of the finest racecourses in the country, one of the best shopping areas and markets in the north of England, a new college with approaching University status, one of only 3 Mansion houses in the country ????
the answer is ..................NO fella . Jeez you have a long long way to go to catch up.

Re: POMPEY AGAIN
Leeds could be in trouble along with a few others too....
Read this earlier regarding various clubs and the taxman:

Read this earlier regarding various clubs and the taxman:
HMRC are currently suggesting that PAYE/Ni should have been paid by Portsmouth on image rights payments that they have made to players. The ruling will be made tomorrow.
Should this ruling go in HMRC's favour I have been told that it will have serious implications for several clubs. Most of them are Premier League but Leeds is supposedly another one.
In order to avoid paying PAYE and NI, they have been allegedly paying players through an offshore company with the payment being for "image rights".
They will literally be in for millions and after HMRC already being stung by Leeds twice, HMRC would love to make an example of them.
and this in reply to the above:
Birmingham, Newcastle, West Ham, Bolton, Portsmouth, Millwall and Leeds.
Two papers have the story, they're waiting for confirmation from the Portsmouth case to release it. It also affects Man City and Spurs but not in a manner significant to their finances (only relates to Robinho and Pavelchenko) and Man U and Liverpool catch a piece of it via Tevez and Mascherano - mainly where 3rd party ownership issues were involved and they funneled image rights payments through agents.

Re: POMPEY AGAIN
Leeds it dates back 7 years and would be far more cash than they have at hand or could lay their grubby cloven hoofs on.
Leeds is a completely different company now, so it'll be nowt to do with Bates or Leeds United ltd 2007, but avoiding tax is something i could see him doing. Considering he does it on a personal term by fucking off to Monaco for over half the year

Makes you sick not that i want to see clubs go out of business but somebody had to be made an example of. But the sort of big club syndrome has come to prosper again

Hmmmmmmmm something stinks here, you can rip off the taxpayers by not paying proper taxes, have an unfair advantage over your competitors and get off 'scot free' or seemingly so.
