Andy Keogh to join Cardiff - Wolves boss Mick McCarthy

Andy Keogh leaves Molineaux with bioss Mick McCarthy's blessing
Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Mick McCarthy has revealed striker Andy Keogh is to join Cardiff City.
McCarthy left the Republic of Ireland international out of his side's 2-1 Carling Cup win over Southend on Tuesday so the player is not cup-tied.
"It's a racing certainty that Andy will be going to Cardiff," said McCarthy.
Keogh, 24, will join Bluebirds signings Craig Bellamy, Seyi Olofinjana, Danny Drinkwater, Jason Koumas, Lee Naylor and Tom Heaton in south Wales.
Keogh has scored 49 goals in 180 competitive appearances for Leeds, Scunthorpe, Bury and Premier League Wolves since 2004 and is now set to join the Bluebirds bid to win promotion from the Championship.
McCarthy told Wolves' website: "He didn't want to be cup tied and Cardiff didn't want him to be cup tied and it was a chance for us to give Ashley Hemmings a game [against Southend].

"It was my decision to let him go but he goes with our best wishes and warmest regards
Mick McCarthy
"Andy has been fabulous here both for me and this football club. It's a good move for him to go to Cardiff and good luck to him.
"He wants to play football and doesn't want to be fourth in line here which I can fully understand.
"It was my decision to let him go but he goes with our best wishes and warmest regards."
Keogh has scored 49 goals in 180 competitive appearances for Leeds, Scunthorpe, Bury and Wolves.

This is getting fookin ridiculous. I just can't understand how a seemingly bankrupt club is now able to sign up (whether or not on loan) any player they want at any wage.
wolves bankrolling this one as well ?
MY BLOOD IS BOILING............cue the collapse of the game in this country!!!!!!!!!!!! Mad Mad Mad scratch

Taken from WalesOnline, just a snippet, It looks Keogh will fill the role left by Ross McCormack who is in discussions with Leeds after the two clubs agreed a fee for his services.

Jones will be keen to add to his options up-front after it also emerged that Michael Chopra will be out for a minimum of six weeks with an ankle injury sustained in Cardiff’s 4-0 Championship win over Doncaster last weekend.

Not heard anything for a wile but i started putting two & two together when Ryan was on talk sport yesterday morning moaning about club"s" loaning cardiff players and paying there wages, when other clubs in this league would take the same players and pay for them

Strikes me its all getting totally out of order.
Must admit though I never thought of JR's comments in that light but in hindsight its a totally logical assumption .

Obviously we don't know the ins and outs in this instance but somethings got to be done about Parent/recipient clubs percentage of wages

The playing field now has a big slope to one end a bit like Barnets old ground
