Hello and welcome to THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE.

This forum was set up on the 5th of September 2009 in order to give Yorkshire football fans a place to come and interact with fellow fans of all 10 league clubs in our county.

We operate a controlled environment, with each team having their own forum and moderator, to ensure everyone has equal rights. The main reason this forum was set up, was to allow its members the freedom to express themselves without the restraints some other 'multi-club' forums adopt.

However, abuse of other members will not be tolerated. Please keep discussions civil. If you are not prepared to behave appropiately, please don't register. Friendly banter between rival clubs is encouraged, personal abuse towards other members will result in a permanent ban.

It is claimed that six men from a group who went on a lads' holiday in March have since died

Police in Barnsley in the U.K. are reported to be investigating a cluster of deaths following a lads holiday to Benidorm.

A least three of the same group of friends from South Yorkshire who visited Benidorm together have died in the months following the trip last March, and some reports in the British press say as many as six friends have died.

48 year old former chip shop owner, Stephen Shaw, died just days after the trip from a massive heart attack, and his death was put down as natural causes. But his widow Carol has said that three or four more from the group have now also died, including one man who had to have hospital treatment while in Spain.

Police say they are investigating the claims on behalf of Barnsley coroner’s office. Local councillor Grace Brown has claimed that six men have died in total, and she is demanding a full investigation. She said the coroner would not have noticed because he would not have known that the men all went on holiday together.
