The Yorkshire Football Forums
Hello and welcome to THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE.

This forum was set up on the 5th of September 2009 in order to give Yorkshire football fans a place to come and interact with fellow fans of all 10 league clubs in our county.

We operate a controlled environment, with each team having their own forum and moderator, to ensure everyone has equal rights. The main reason this forum was set up, was to allow its members the freedom to express themselves without the restraints some other 'multi-club' forums adopt.

However, abuse of other members will not be tolerated. Please keep discussions civil. If you are not prepared to behave appropiately, please don't register. Friendly banter between rival clubs is encouraged, personal abuse towards other members will result in a permanent ban.

THANK YOU for visiting THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE and we hope to see you posting here in the future.

B2Net Stadium Empty B2Net Stadium

Post by yorkie64red Sun 10 Oct - 4:33:02

As we didn't have a game today i decided to pay a visit to the B2Net stadium in chesterfield, it is light years ahead of saltergate but that wouldn't be difficult, first impressions very nice it is a bit like a mini Galpharm with the curved roofs on the two main stands although the kops were basic enough , we were sat in the family stand which costs £18 and £5 for a child, the legroom was ample on a par with the Keepmoat i would say and the views as you would expect were excellent with no poles getting in your way, all the stands are standalone with no corners, the concourses were ok but a bit basic , the food was on a par with other grounds although i have to say the meat pies were excellent with real meat and not the processed crap that most grounds churn out, cost £2.50, the time it took to get served was bad it took an age and i thought it was bad at the keepmoat at halftime there was hardly any hot food left and we left the stands with 7 minuites before the whistle blew so they really need to sort that out, there are LCD tvs showing the actual match which was a good touch, for the nicotine addicts out there they also open one of the doors to let people step outside to have a fag, i parked across the road and getting away from the match was a doddle , there are loads of pubs nearby to have a pre-match drink and the locals are friendly enough, overall a pleasent afternoon out and if you get the chance i would give it a go , oh and Chesterfield won the game 2-1 playing Southend, not a brilliant performance but they stuck at it, a draw would have been a fair result..

I can see why they are delighted with their new stadium, in the light of your post. Proper 'meat' pies , that's a helluva bonus and the chance to pop out for a fag............think I might change the club I support. lol!
