United Kingdom
Is anyone bothered about it anymore, costs England a fortune, they don't really like the English so would it bother you if the Uk split and we all ran our own affairs, not so long ago i was a big supporter of the united Kingdom but am starting to sway against it , so if there was a referendum now i would say Goodbye to Scotland and wales and lets get out of the EU at the same time...

Re: United Kingdom
Great idea but you would double the deficit overnight.......you can't turn the clock back on the EU.
We've put all our eggs in one basket now in terms of trade, fiscal markets and defense, as much as it pains me to say. Bri we are no longer a 'Superpower' and we need to stay put imo.
As for getting rid of Wales and Scotland , again like it or not we are linked by a millenium of history with the Welsh and some 400 years with the Scots.
Btw , I take it that you would keep NI as you have left them out ????

I would keep anyone who wants to remain with us for more reasons then we are just a cashcow and the Northern Irish want to retain that link, the EU i am certain will collapse one day hopefully in my lifetime, it is just a massive Socialist superstate, we have nothing in common with them and England has gone down the pan ever since we joined them, we turned our backs on our true friends, the commonwealth dominions of Canada , Australia and New Zealand, if we pulled out tommorow we would still trade with them as they do with us, and as for Defence, god help us if we ever have to rely on the french, whatever we think of them if we were ever in the shit defence wise the only people who would come to our aid would be the Americans...

Re: United Kingdom
Perhaps this one deserves its own thread but
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/mps-expenses/8078476/Expenses-peers-expenses-cheats-were-victims-of-racism.html
So it was nothing to do with the fraudulent claiming of £200,000 expenses Lord Ali thinks they were only investigated fully cos they are Asian
and I particularly like this bit
"Criticising Lord Paul for statements he made in which he claimed he did not understand the term “main residence” as it was not part of his “culture,” she added: "I want to say how distressing it is for me personally to find the 80th richest man, Lord Paul, saying that he didn't understand what 'main' and 'residence' meant.
