Hello and welcome to THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE.

This forum was set up on the 5th of September 2009 in order to give Yorkshire football fans a place to come and interact with fellow fans of all 10 league clubs in our county.

Davey v Robins - some facts and figures Empty Davey v Robins - some facts and figures

Don't ask why I've been doing this at this time of night - not tired and boredom are as good an excuse as any!!!!
The debate over whether we are any better off will roll on and on until we get some consistency with results.
Mark Robins has now been in charge for 59 league games so I have compared this with Davey over the same period (this includes Davey initially being caretaker manager) so here goes!

Davey Won 21 Drawn 12 Lost 26 For 68 Against 95 A win every 2.8 games

Robins Won 19 Drawn 14 Lost 26 For 67 Against 82 A win every 3.1 games

Davey slightly coming out on top on the wins but Robins has a better goal difference - if it hadn't been for the run of 8 games last season it would have looked worse for Robins. This highlights for me that we are currently no further forward and will be in for another season of struggle.

Very interesting

What we need to remember is we played a lot more better passing and fluent football with Davey, and still lost a lot... Although it always seemed like we played better than the opposition.

With Robins we tried to do the same as Davey but actually win the games! ... And it worked for some time... Until THIS season started and Robins started buying players like Liam Dickinson and Goran Lovre... Now, we're even worse than Davey! No wins AND no positive football, we go 1 goal down and just hoof it for the rest of the game then......

The opposition can predict what we're going to do next as easy as predicting what day it is.

I totally agree about Dickinson and Lovre there just not good enough at this level!! I still think we need to try some of the young and upcoming talent we have at the club!! After all we have no one else!!
