Water shortage ?
Yorkshire water losing 30,000,000 litres of water a day due to burst pipes. We are being asked to use sparingly, shower with a friend and if you haven't got one try the young blond down the street.

Re: Water shortage ?
I got home from the club last night and the missus said in her own little way "I think weve got a problem" then she gently led me to the outhouse ............................and there it was ..................... water water everywhere.
To cut the story down I manged to bend the pipe down so it flowed into the old butler sink, right thats the immediate problem solved, sort of, as the wife was bailing the sink out as it filled up quicker than it drained!
Now shift everything out of the way of the stopcock easy peasy job now....."Oh no its not" came the shout. "oh yes it is" said I ........."oh no its not" shouted the stopcock .....and totally refused to budge....an hour and a half later numerous cans of wd40 and alot of help from my next door neighbour the blighter finally moved without snapping off.
My neighbour popped round today and shoved another tap on the end so the wife could use the washing machine.....great thinks I jobs done till after the new year............."oh no its not" screamed the washing machine inlet hose and promptly started spurting water everywhere that bloody thing had burst too........Oh well 3 or 4 quid down B+Q's new water inlet, job done............"oh no its not" screamed the washing machine Siemens made me and I don't use a bog standard water inlet hose, I use a posh one called "aquastop" and I'm going to have you over for about 80 quid.
So does anybody know if this aquastop water inlet pipe can be replaced by a bog standard one
