The Yorkshire Football Forums
Hello and welcome to THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE.

This forum was set up on the 5th of September 2009 in order to give Yorkshire football fans a place to come and interact with fellow fans of all 10 league clubs in our county.

We operate a controlled environment, with each team having their own forum and moderator, to ensure everyone has equal rights. The main reason this forum was set up, was to allow its members the freedom to express themselves without the restraints some other 'multi-club' forums adopt.

However, abuse of other members will not be tolerated. Please keep discussions civil. If you are not prepared to behave appropiately, please don't register. Friendly banter between rival clubs is encouraged, personal abuse towards other members will result in a permanent ban.

Some sections of this forum are restricted to members, so to enjoy the full benefits of the site please register. Registered users also enjoy this website without the advertisements at the top of the page.

THANK YOU for visiting THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE and we hope to see you posting here in the future.

Thu 20 Jan 2011
BARNSLEY manager Mark Robins has moved to strengthen his squad by signing Danny Haynes on a permanent deal from npower Championship rivals Bristol City.

Danny has today penned a two-and-a-half year contract with the Reds after the two Clubs agreed an undisclosed fee for his services.

Lightening quick with an eye for goal, Danny has a proven pedigree at Championship level after impressing with Bristol City and Ipswich Town. The 22-year-old came up through the ranks at Ipswich and was a member of the Tractor Boys FA Youth Cup winning squad in 2005. He made his first team breakthrough at Portman Road the same year and went on to clock up 128 games for Ipswich, netting 19 goals.

Danny enjoyed a five match loan with Millwall in 2006 before joining Bristol City three years later and has played 54 times for the Ashton Gate club. He has also been capped by England at youth levels.

Reds boss Mark Robins told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk: "I am delighted to have brought Danny to the club. He is a player with real pace and can score goals.

"He is a little raw but is someone we are looking forward to working with and help develop as a player at this football club. We are delighted to have him here".
