Avatars..........
What made you choose yours ?
My one is a Rovers legend who played from 1935-51 initially as centre-forward and latterly as centre-half. Syd Bycroft was recognised as the 'Norman Hunter' of his day .........hard as nails and totally fearless. He played 355 games for the Rovers and was omni-present in the team that secured 72/84 points in the 1946/7 season. A true Rovers legend that wore his heart on his sleeve, his determination can be clearly seen in his photograph...............he epitomises for me the perfect example of what a player should be and who our current crop should take examples from.
Incidentally my apologies Vix and Yorkie , last night I mixed him up with Bert Tindill one of our greatest centre-forwards, no wonder you all looked bemused.

Mine is "The Quiet Man Bridge" in Co. Galway. I think it appropriate as i am "A quiet man". ( and i love the film, its timeless, even more so when you search out the locations where filmed and find NOTHING has changed in 60 years).
