Re: Wendies v. Brentford
Hi Steve, long time no see...
It's amazing to realise that only 101 days ago, a win over Exeter would have seen us go TOP of the league. Instead we lost 5-1, and now lie 17th, just four points above the drop zone.
I am not one of the (growing) voices calling for Megson's head at this early stage, any manager should be given time to get it right, especially with the shite that he's been given to work with. But I didn't think he was the right appointment at the time, and I'm certainly not changing my mind anytime soon. His lineup last night was utterly baffling. To praise the defending at Dagenham on Saturday, and then ring the changes in that same defence defies logic. In a team that is playing poorly, shipping goals, and is very low on confidence, such wanton chopping and changing can only demoralise the squad further. Not to mention playing players out of their preferred position, Darren Potter on the right last night being the most stupefying example of this to date.
Make no mistake, we could very well be playing in League Two next year.

Just been busy Nightmare, wish I had been hiding from some of the 'football' we've served up this season! Nice to be back though.
You make a valid point, there is some serious shyte below us in the league, but to absolutely guarantee safety (based on previous relegation points totals) we'll probably require a couple of wins from our last 8 games. Doesn't sound much, but when you've only managed 2 wins out of 20 games, it can seem a little daunting!
