Hello and welcome to THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE.

This forum was set up on the 5th of September 2009 in order to give Yorkshire football fans a place to come and interact with fellow fans of all 10 league clubs in our county.

We operate a controlled environment, with each team having their own forum and moderator, to ensure everyone has equal rights. The main reason this forum was set up, was to allow its members the freedom to express themselves without the restraints some other 'multi-club' forums adopt.

However, abuse of other members will not be tolerated. Please keep discussions civil. If you are not prepared to behave appropiately, please don't register. Friendly banter between rival clubs is encouraged, personal abuse towards other members will result in a permanent ban.

Djilali and Murphy? Empty Djilali and Murphy?

Post by Drover Tue 28 Jun - 0:03:36

There was belief Rovers have courted both players previously and they are both without clubs as yet(unless I have missed some news),Djilali released and Murphy stated he was leaving. It's gone all quiet about them and have not heard even a whisper lately, but as far has I know, like another free agent Mirfin, they have not signed for anyone else yet.Do you think we might still be in with a chance or want to be with them?

surprising that Murphy has not been signed up yet especially as he turned down a offer at Scunny, that would make you think that we might be still interested in him and would not be surprised if we signed him, as for the other one not so sure..

Has it happens,Paul Goodwin has just tweeted "a london reporter has told him we are holding talks with Djilali, more details thurs free press".

EDIT: I just thought maybe Ryan Burge's decision to leave has made us interested in Djilali again.

He scored against DRFC in 2010 for Palace, he had trials with Man Utd, made a few first team appearences in Championship for palace, been doing the rounds a bit on loan last season, essentially a winger ( how SOD has changed , from no wingers to perhaps 3 , Bennett, this guy and Mcindoe if all are secured ).

I thought Macca did'nt go to MKfrancise in the end?Fell through at last minute.Would explain why he did not get a game there.Unless I got it wrong.Im not sure it would be a good move to have Macca back, but maybe a short term contract(which 1 rumours says) is not a bad option and he will be comparatively cheap now.We have given short contracts to some poor players at times under SOD,all in the name of speculation to gain a gem or two(Oster,Dumbuya etc).Regards Djilali,I have not seen much of him play. The fact he played in the Palace 1st team at 17 and was thought to be a bright prospect, but has seemed to suffer from ups and downs in his form, maybe this is due to Palace struggling recently in the championship and changing managers alot.May or may not improve under SOD's team.

Edit:Just seen Macca did infact go MKFrancise, played 7 times apparently. That was quiet.

I'm actually quite pleased about Spurr , he has plenty of championship expirience and sod will hopefully get his confidence back just like he did with Billy, i do share your concerns about Naylor though, he may be a asset just hope he isn't another who is going to spend his time with us injured...but will give him a chance..
