Agents fees...
The Football League have published their latest report on the amount that each club has paid to licensed agents during the 2010/11 season. It shows that Doncaster Rovers paid out a whopping £387,770 last season to agents for a variety of transactions - of the 49 reported, 14 were for new registrations/transfers, 24 for updated contracts, 3 for cancelled contracts and 8 for loan transfers.
Every single Championship club paid something to an agent - ranging from Queens Park Rangers, who paid out a colossal £1,770,262, with Middlesbrough on £1,598,228 and Leicester City (£1,280,200) down to Scunthorpe United, who paid out the least at £119,008. Rovers were 13th in the table of fees.
Overall, fees paid out were up from last season, with just eight not paying agents anything at all (Accrington Stanley, Barnet, Cheltenham Town, Crewe Alexandra, Hartlepool United, Macclesfield Town, Stevenage and Stockport County), whilst a further 22 paid out less than £10,000.
In the Football League, Championship clubs accounted for 84.6% (£14.1m) of all fees paid out to agents, with Leagues One and Two paying out 14.1% (£2.3m) and 1.3% (£0.2m) respectively. The Premier League are not included in this survey.
In announcing the latest agents' fees figures Football League Chairman Greg Clarke said: "These figures show that a considerable amount of money continues to leave the game through payments to agents. This highlights the importance of the work Football League clubs are doing to establish a 'break even' business model across all three divisions. No-one is trying to prevent clubs from paying agents where they feel it is appropriate, however we must make sure that clubs are not spending money they simply do not have

Far far too much , when I ask for a rise and take my agent in to the meetings, I can't see my company picking up the tab. This is a fookin ridiculous idea and should be stamped out now.
This is the club's and thereby the supporter's monies these leeches are feeding on, the game is corrupt through and through.
Most clubs (Leicester excluded of course) are close to going to the wall and these pillocks are helping to force clubs into bankruptsy.

But its the way of the world....we could decide to take players who don't have agents but they i guess are few and far between....i would guess they factor these costs in when they make an offer for a player, so instead of offering the Blades 1.3 million for Billy we will offer them 1.2 and the other money will cover the agent...end result we are paying the same...
