The Yorkshire Football Forums
Hello and welcome to THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE.

This forum was set up on the 5th of September 2009 in order to give Yorkshire football fans a place to come and interact with fellow fans of all 10 league clubs in our county.

We operate a controlled environment, with each team having their own forum and moderator, to ensure everyone has equal rights. The main reason this forum was set up, was to allow its members the freedom to express themselves without the restraints some other 'multi-club' forums adopt.

However, abuse of other members will not be tolerated. Please keep discussions civil. If you are not prepared to behave appropiately, please don't register. Friendly banter between rival clubs is encouraged, personal abuse towards other members will result in a permanent ban.

THANK YOU for visiting THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE and we hope to see you posting here in the future.

I remember Vix having a stadium tour a couple of years ago and the person doing it said it was the football that ruined the pitch and not the rugby...putting that aside i would think that any deal with the Rovers taking over the lease of the ground would involve the rights of the other tennants been safeguaded and so they should..we wouldn't even have a new ground but for the council paying for it wich means the tax payers of Doncaster some of whom wil be Lakers fans..also i would think the club would want all the money they can and that would include the rents paid by Belles ,Lakers and the athletics club..i assume of course that the lease would be for the whole thing not just the main ground...

Yeah...i would imagine once the season is over also interesting that the SMC mentioned that Rovers were in talks with the council...just hope that once it is in club ownership that people do use it...it can help sustain the club but just as easy could ruin it...it needs to be run better which shouldn't be too difficult..

I honestly think they would need to bring some new people in...the club do have some excellent people employed like Sean Lockwood although he failed when it come to the loyalty scheme a simple email to those that went out of there way to assist the club with its setup in the summer would have been appreciated..i left work early that day if i remember right which probably cost me an hours money...but as we know they also have some dros there..pardon the pun..

Had it crossed anybody's mind that the Council will be able to move the stadium off their books to a DRFC with on the surface less financial clout. Wink
Remember although these Directors have resigned they have left their shareholding within the club.
That would mean that even in the long term it would be against their interests to see the club fail. Laughing .........no/weakened club = no chance of any return on their investment.
