Back's gone again.............
I'm bloody fed up of this and thought I was sorted out. It took nearly an hour to get washed and dressed this morning , go into work to sort some things out, come straight home and spend nigh on another 1/2 hour getting changed again.
I can hardly walk again and am in agony.............pass me that zimmer.
Freeze sprays, hot water bottles, painkillers NOWT'S WORKING !!

Re: Back's gone again.............
The bone right at the bottom goes every now and again (coccyx?), the major problem when this happens is bending down and straightening up...........it's pure agony and I want to both laugh and cry at the same time or cry like a girl. Sleeping at night is a major issue, do I lie on my front, my back or sideways anyway and I'm fooked in the morning but this has got to be worse than ever before.

Re: Back's gone again.............
Thanks for the offers/advice, this has been going on for nearly 2 years now on and off. Both lower back and right shoulder are knackered and come back to haunt me periodically.
Now it's the lower back again , I've tried doctors, physiotherapists (locally and at DRI), Chiropractors and a plethora of drugs ranging from 'bog standard' 500mg Paracetamol to Dicoflenac (now considered a cancer risk) to Naproxyn amongst others. I've done all the 'building up' of inner core strength crap, good exercise, risk management i.e. correct lifting , correct posture etc.........and I'm still plagued with the fecker and running out patience with the help I've been getting.
I've loads to do at work and I was on a roll now I'm stuck at home earning nowt and in pain . I'm fooked off!!

Been there Hoola, Tramadol can be a bit wicked! didn't know about Diclofenic I was on both of them after my last back op, disectomy on 3 (or was it 4 ) levels and a Wallis ligament implant (google it) to all intense and purposes a plastic disc all lumbar, and just to top it off 4 months later nerve blocks and facet injections in my neck.
All done at Parkhill with Mr Panikkar, Consultant at Dri. everyone I've spoken to say he's the top dog regarding backs at DRI, to see him privatly at Parkhill is in the region of 100 quid then mri scan on top, follow up is included. give Parkhill a ring they'll point you in the right direction with regard to self funding its not actually as bad as you think, mine was through Bupa via work
at least you'll find out what exactlys happening and go from there.
or push your GP to refer you!
or my Phsio is very good private practice out Finningly way

You were lucky, its taken me over a week and 3 visits to get my ears syringed. High point was (not) yesterday when I arrived at clinic, used the self check in as directed, sat for 15 mins only to hear my name called by receptionist
"Did you use self check in?"
"Yes"
"ah I've been waiting for you, I've been ringing you all day, phone went to answerphone, nurse rang in sick so we cancelled appointment"
"But I've been at work all day so didn't check phone (house phone that is)
"Ah well we're short staffed and we don't leave messages"
In all fairness they were waiting for me this morning and I can now hear again but what a fiasco.
So Hoola might get free physio - next year
