The Yorkshire Football Forums
Hello and welcome to THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE.

This forum was set up on the 5th of September 2009 in order to give Yorkshire football fans a place to come and interact with fellow fans of all 10 league clubs in our county.

We operate a controlled environment, with each team having their own forum and moderator, to ensure everyone has equal rights. The main reason this forum was set up, was to allow its members the freedom to express themselves without the restraints some other 'multi-club' forums adopt.

However, abuse of other members will not be tolerated. Please keep discussions civil. If you are not prepared to behave appropiately, please don't register. Friendly banter between rival clubs is encouraged, personal abuse towards other members will result in a permanent ban.

Some sections of this forum are restricted to members, so to enjoy the full benefits of the site please register. Registered users also enjoy this website without the advertisements at the top of the page.

THANK YOU for visiting THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE and we hope to see you posting here in the future.

Exeter City left-back Scott Golbourne will join npower Championship side Barnsley for an undisclosed fee tomorrow morning once the deal has been approved by the Football League.

The 23-year-old defender, who has only missed two games for the Grecians this season, has been with the club since the summer of 2009 when he moved from Reading.

Scott agreed terms and passed a medical in Yorkshire today and the two and a half year deal will be finalised in the morning.

After making his debut against Leeds United at Elland Road on the opening day of the 2009/10 season Scott became a regular for the Grecians and has gone on to make 120 appearances (and scored two goals) in the last two and a half seasons.

Barnsley boss Keith Hill is well aware of Golbourne's talent having previously managed our fellow League One side Rochdale.

Scott began his career at Bristol City before making the move to Reading in 2006. Loan spells at Wycombe, Bournemouth and Oldham followed before a permanent move to Devon.

The club would like to wish Scott all the best for the future in the Championship and thank him for his sterling service during the last few campaigns.
