The Yorkshire Football Forums
Hello and welcome to THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE.

This forum was set up on the 5th of September 2009 in order to give Yorkshire football fans a place to come and interact with fellow fans of all 10 league clubs in our county.

We operate a controlled environment, with each team having their own forum and moderator, to ensure everyone has equal rights. The main reason this forum was set up, was to allow its members the freedom to express themselves without the restraints some other 'multi-club' forums adopt.

However, abuse of other members will not be tolerated. Please keep discussions civil. If you are not prepared to behave appropiately, please don't register. Friendly banter between rival clubs is encouraged, personal abuse towards other members will result in a permanent ban.

Some sections of this forum are restricted to members, so to enjoy the full benefits of the site please register. Registered users also enjoy this website without the advertisements at the top of the page.

THANK YOU for visiting THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE and we hope to see you posting here in the future.

What you mean the game is off? It's not. We've said 'Game On' 'No problems' so you must have misheard...

As it turned out I was just at Clumber Park gates heading North when it came on Talksport, "It's a new ground, don't they pay any attention to drainage?" says Adrian Durham, so up to the roundabout and turned round. Have to say that the rain had become very heavy so wasn't really surprised

Listened to Deano on player earlier, I did get the impression it was a wimpy ref and purely his decision and the club and groundsmen said it was playable

Everyone at the club thought the match was playable... Probably explains the tweets. They got ahead of themselves and just presumed it was a formality, the game taking place.

That presumption made them look like numpties.

It's a sod when officials don't take the advice of the experts i.e. the groundstaff. Sad

In which case the wimpy referee has cost the club and the fans of both clubs a helluva lot of money and wasted time. Mad

Tbh I'm sick to death of it, one minute its the police saying it cant go ahead because the surrounding paths are slippy...................erm if its been snowing or frosty correct me if I'm wrong but you can take it you need to be careful without anybody telling you
Just the same with refs failing to take advice from managers and players, most refs have never played the game to any great standard ..............nuff said
