It helps us but what a bloody mess yet again for their supporters. These clubs have got to get their acts together and realise that they MUST live within their respective incomes!!
Frankly it's high time that the Premier League clubs looked seriously at how the 'television monies' are to be split between the different Divisions in a more equitable manner before the game is completely destroyed. Currently they are causing players and managers to seek higher wages by inflating their demands at the lower levels without the incomes to support such demands. On top of this they are either 'nicking' players from the lower Divisions or importing foreigners and cutting out any opportunity for the smaller clubs to develop and reap the rewards of any future British stars they might have 'cashed in ' on in the past.
No wonder that our national game and our international stars of the future are not coming through. The German model has to be the way forward for the future survival and well being of both our national game as a whole and just as important the future success or failure of our international teams.
We must also take a long hard look at the whole game in respect of affordability for our supporters. Grabbing more from the 'few' to survive is NOT the answer and is only a short term answer that will undoubtedly lead to medium and long term risks. When the 'few' get fed up of being fleeced the game will gradually die as we are currently seeing across the length and the breadth of the land.
WE NEED TO START AGAIN WITH A BETTER AND MORE SUSTAINABLE MODEL BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE.
I am however proud that our club is already looking at the problems and trying to address them...........more need to follow suit and quickly.

Whilst I agree with your point of view on a selfish basis , I am however worried that the observations that I lovingly put together weren't more worthy of any real discussion. Don't you all see that the game and more especially the way clubs look at their finances needs immediate attention but for the largesse of our owners we too could be in the same position.
My argument is that because the cake is so unevenly cut up in favour of the Prem. clubs it causes an artificial inflation for all clubs regardless of their respective revenues. Thus making it virtually impossible for 90% of clubs to have anything approaching a decent balance sheet; regardless of whether you are Swindon, Rovers, Leeds, Barnsley etc etc.......that is not healthy and needs addressing urgently.
