History repeating itself?
I did say before we played Notts County that if we lost it could be a good omen
I recalled the last time we played Notts County as our last Home match in a promotion chasing season (1966), and County upset the applecart bigtime (0-3 - the famous Tony Coleman/Mr Pickles match)............... and we went on to be Champions. Also on the last day of the season any one of three teams could have become champions - Darlington and Torquay drew 0-0 with each other leaving Rovers as Champions on Goal Average over Darlo and 1 point ahead of Torquay.
