The Yorkshire Football Forums
Hello and welcome to THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE.

This forum was set up on the 5th of September 2009 in order to give Yorkshire football fans a place to come and interact with fellow fans of all 10 league clubs in our county.

We operate a controlled environment, with each team having their own forum and moderator, to ensure everyone has equal rights. The main reason this forum was set up, was to allow its members the freedom to express themselves without the restraints some other 'multi-club' forums adopt.

However, abuse of other members will not be tolerated. Please keep discussions civil. If you are not prepared to behave appropiately, please don't register. Friendly banter between rival clubs is encouraged, personal abuse towards other members will result in a permanent ban.

THANK YOU for visiting THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE and we hope to see you posting here in the future.

Middlesbrough is not particulary good for a night out. Few decent bars down Southfield Road ( TS1, Dickens, Star, Southfield) Few bars on Albert Road and corporation Road . Nothing flash really. If you are a real ale drinker you will be particularly hard done by. Only The Star and Isaac willsons (Wetherspoons) on Wilson Street tend to have any decent real ale.

Trendies tend to go into Yarm which is supposed to be 'upmarket' and attracts the local footballing superstars. Apart froM lee cattermole who is banned from all the bars in that town and stockton.

Found that out to my detriment last time I was in Middlesbrough. Sheffield is excellent for the discerning drinker, some quality real ale pubs in and around the city centre.

Have always fancied Wakefield, just a pain to get back from if using public transport.

The Escobar in Wakey is one of my favourite places to have a few drinks, they play the sort of music I like. Can be a bit dead over the weekend though, and it's not the cheapest place in Wakey either.

Best town in Yorkshire by a mile is York. Plenty of real ale pubs. Wink
