Varney Returns
Season long loan, OS announcing it now.
Hopefully Irvine can get a little more out of Reg than Brian Laws did. That said, I'm happy he's back, as far as I'm concerned he definitely improves our striking options.
And this might mean that Sodje is on his way out.

Sell your keeper, get a good young one in from below and then buy him, he will be invaluable to your cause this year.

He's here until the end of the season anyhow, no need to buy. And frankly, as glad as I am to have him back on loan, I would not, based on what we've seen so far anyway, be considering paying Derby a transfer fee for his services.
A lot of Wednesdayites are clamouring for Grant to be sold to raise funds, but I think they're underestimating. I personally do not think the way to save our season is by selling the only player who's earned his wages so far in the campaign. It worries me how much poorer off we'd be this season without Lee Grant.
