Just waiting for my curry for tea tonight and it got me wondering what is everyone's favourite takeaway? I myself am very partial to KFC or pizza, but a good curry comes close.

I like KFC but to be honest you can't beat a traditional Cod and Chips with Mushy peas . Favourite Takeaway? Icon_razz

Fish and Chips but need a mortgage to get them round here, and the decent shops have all gone.
Remember when there was a chippy on nearly every block in the old part of Thornaby, and everyone was top notch.

It seems I can't make a proper Yorkshire wonman of her in this one respect.

Southern mushy peas are rather disgusting so I can only apologise for this failing.

You can't be a good selection of takeaways, plenty of choice then. You need them for different places too as some are better at different things to others!!! And in reply to Luckygirl you'll never get me to like mushy peas but I am partial to some curry sauce!

I can get Fish Chips mushy Peas and a large battered sausage for £4.00, decent portions as well, in Chesterfield where i work a Cod and Chips on there own cost £5.60, but i suppose they have to pay import tax on the cod with them not been in yorkshire... Favourite Takeaway? Lol

I'm not sure how much cod and chips is round here but don't think it's much more than about £4. It's quite nice to but that depends on where you go for it. One of the chippies in Brighouse does fish and chips, a pudding, bread and butter and a pot of tea or coffee for £6.95 which I thought was pretty good considering the piece of fish was more like a piece of whale.

I Like fish and chips but find it hard to find a chippy that makes a decent crispy batter.

Like a good parmo too. Haven't had a KFC for years
