Get the shovels out , there's loads spare for your allotment Nightmare. Seems he's a bit of a ''dreamer'' ...........my missus this , my missus that etc. and they will all fall for it . Basically nobody wants to touch this team re. investment with a bargepole but for the Co-Op bank they would be out of business. The fans keep asking for money..............! ffs it's obvious there isn't any!

We've got a problem with that too.......only it's the deadlines not the eventual sales of them.

That's what all our local clubs should be doing, deposit, then 2 subsequent payments................we've all got the same problems tbf (even your own). They can't budget for the forthcoming season without having an idea what the likely cashflow will be. Trouble is , it won't be long before we are paying a season ahead.

So please check the statistics before you post.

I wonder how many they would have if they take out all the tickets they give away every home game to keep the attendances up..

Re: DEL BOYS
Why are we still getting such low attendences?
When wednesday, leeds, sheff utd were top teams donny were a conference team so therefore many more people wanted to watch the bigger teams so donny never gained many fans.
Those fans that went to watch the big teams became die hard supporters and thats how they brought there kids up so your attendences grew.
Thats why in donny you see so many people with wednesday, leeds or even utd shirts on.
Donny are a club on the rise and im sure in 20 years time we wil be averaging 30 000 a week at home.
PROGRESS OF DONNY.
2001-2002 season.
Average of 1900 per game at home
2009-2010 season.
Average of 10 000 per game at home.
So just over 8000 more fans at home each week for donny, good progress imo.
PROGRESS OF WEDNESDAYS
2001-2002 season.
Average of around 25 000 fans at home each week.
2009/2010 season.
Average of around 20 000 at home each week.
So around 5 000 fans less than 2001-2002 season. Club gone Backwards!
PROGRESS OF SHEFF UTD.
2001-2002
Average of 17 000 per home game.
2009/2010
Average of 25 000 per home game.
Now thats just about 8000 more since 2001-2002. An improvement like donnys.
LEEDS PROGRESS
2001-2002 season.
Average home attendence of 40 000.
2009-2010 season.
Average of 24 000 per home game. Club gone backwards.
These facts clearly show in the last 8/9 years donny and sheff utds attendences have improved whilst wednesdays and leeds have decreased.
Regardless of what leauge you are in those so called loyal supporters should stick together throughtout the good times and the bad.
Is that sufficent proof wmx?

wxm, Any reason for a lack of response to the stats you have requested, do you dispute them ?
Further data , Sheffield catchment area = 1.8 million and you dare to try and belittle Rovers with your huge crowds.
Now if you want to compare your crowds with the a similar sized metropolis.............try Manchester. Bet you compare well there!!

Re: DEL BOYS
Tell you what why don't you compare your crowds with the giant metropolis of Blackburn and let me know YOUR conclusions eh ? Just how do you compare and btw when Manure was relegated in the 70's they averaged over 45,000+ check it out.wxm owl wrote:a lot of ther fan comes from all over the uk for city an utd but as a footy man you should no that. Here we go again , how the hell can you ever compare the relative histories and fanbases of Wednesday and Rovers. Were Wednesday and Blackburn ( a comparison you suggest I should use ) in the Conference 8 years ago ?
Give it up wxm you can't win the argument and neither can I just enjoy supporting your club and respect the history of my club in the same way I do yours..........that's all I ask..

Re: DEL BOYS
firstly i take my hat off to doncaster rovers on not only the way they play football as we found out a few weeks ago but as for donny getting 30,000 in a few years time that is extremely unlikely unless donny do the unthinkable and win promotion to the premiership in the next few years but somehow that is very unlikely as donny rovers will need investment running into the tens of millions of pounds and john ryan who has done a fantastic job in the time that"s he has been there has said he is not going to put no more money into the club unless he can find a major financial backer for the club.your right about one thing though all the clubs in this region should be looking to the future and not looking in the past and bragging about who gets the biggest attendances.MR NEGATIVE wrote:Why are we still getting such low attendences?
