Its not that easy to get a job though mate these days. Ive only picked up the odd shifts at places nothing permenant.

Not having a go jack but when you leave school you will find how hard it is to find a job i have been looking now for 13 month nothing out there

it's a case of jobs been out there we all no most people in and around where we live and we all no the workers and we all know the lazy bastards that don't want work

So don't pay the lazy bastards, make them work on public work like crims do in the States.

I'm afraid the gravy train is coming to an end, and so it should, and i'm not talking about the genuine unemployed who are looking for work, i'm talking about the bad back brigade who get on disability and once there sit back and watch the benefits roll in , again there are genuine ones but there are plenty who get them a bad name, the house needs putting in order.

Been off the last 7 weeks cos of mine ,still under phsio twice a week every time I go back its moved out of position a bit again,
I suggested trying to go back to work the Doc said "whats your job involve" When I replied lifting bending and driving about 35,000 a year in a van the twat burst out laughing shook his head and signed me off again Been out of work 2 weeks when I first left school (1975) and this is bloody killing me.

I know its not easy to ge a job but im having a pop at those that refuse to work.

ive done 5 weeks on the dole in 14 years i got the sack and found it hard to get a job because i'd been sacked from my last job i had 9 interviews in 6 weeks and finally got a job i will never understand how people can stay at home not paying there way and putting grub on the table i hated every minute of it

Please dont put all unemployed in the same bucket.
I work in the Job Centre and talk to upto 20 people a day wanting to make new claims or reclaims and yes there are some who dont want to do anything for their dole money. You can normally spot them on the phones with their attitude towards us and the amount of times they miss appointments.
A lot of people only claim as a last resort, so instead of ringing up the day they leave work they look for work for a couple of weeks or months and then start getting into debt and have to ring up for a claim.
I have done job searches for people who have been earning good money but will take any job to get off benefits.

Thanks to the election and possible cuts all our rolling temp contracts have not been renewed so over the next 6 months about 50% of our office will be on the dole or leaving for other jobs.I am in first wave, last in rules. We cannot cope now with the amount of claims so god help people later in the year.
A tip for anyone wanting to claim dole, ring up at 8am or do your claim on the net. After 9 you could be in a queue and the later in the day the longer it will be.
