Rugby LEAGUE disscusion thread
There must be someone else on here whos an R.L. fan especially with Leeds, Bradford and Hull fans on here like
Anyway...mighty Hunslet flying high top of the league, whilst poor old Donny cant get near the Hawks
Leeds finally starting to get some good wins together after a shakey start, Wire, Bradford and a last miniute winner against top of the league pie munchers and with that gettin through to the semi final of the challenge cup

Shame, should get into it mate. For me its better than football in many ways (am ready for the stick am gonna get here)
Can have a drink on a terrace, decent addmision prices, players not on sickening wages and players who actually play for the shirt and if ya watched Leeds-Wigan today bet you'd agree it can be a more entertaining game than football

Re: Rugby LEAGUE disscusion thread
watch RL on TV most weekends in the season. Been to Wembley finals a couple of times, years ago mind at the old place.
Funny how the players get flattend by 3 massive blokes then just get up and run again where footballers roll about and cry.
Love to see my team Fev win the league this season.

Aye, great season so far for them mate, hate the way they've scrapped relegation and promotion. Think it's the end of the trial for this "license" thing. I reckon Wakey could be kicked out, which is sad really should be in the top league if you've got the best team not ground.
Like when they wouldn't allow Hunslet in the super league cos the ground was too small

Re: Rugby LEAGUE disscusion thread
My missus is really into RL but she cant get her head round the state of some grounds compared to Wigan and Hull.
She forgets what the old football grounds were like that I took her too years back.
Promised to take her to a game later in the season. She watches the 2 Prem and then the national league on a Thursday as well.
She was gutted for Wigan this afternoon, tends to like them over others where I have always supported Bradford and Fev.
Bradford because I went to Odsall (before sky)and enjoyed the day.
Fev as its my surname and went to wembly with them, have the scarf, club tie etc.

Re: Rugby LEAGUE disscusion thread
That's why i really like Headingley, its a combination, not sure how much longer the south stand terrace is going to be up for. They've already got pretty big sections of it closed off
http://tims92.webs.com/rugbyleague009leedsrhinos.htm (piccies of Headingley if anyones interested
I do like Odsal, a hole int ground but it's unique in that sense
Just wondering was it the Halifax-Wire (think it was those 2 sides) game you went to?

Re: Rugby LEAGUE disscusion thread
saw Fev at Wembley v Warrington I think.
All I know it was Yorks v Lancs and the midnight train down was full of mad drunken Yorkshire folk. Remember a 300 a side game of footy in Traffalgar Square, and a conga that seemed to go on for ever from there to the tube station and through the strand.
Lots of football fans mixing as if they all were best mates, even mixed in the ground.

Love the game and have done for over 40 years and have watched most of our local sides in the past Donny, Cas, Fev, Leeds,Hull , Hull KR etc., as well as most of those in the NW when living in Stockport for 12 years. There I used to take in Wigan , Saints, Wires etc., the Challenge Cup final was always a great w/end away in London when I was younger and I went to 12/13 of these games.
I also love RU , in fact owt with a ball and a team game.
Personally I can't see that there's any conflict in loving all 3 games and watching a RU England match at Twickenham is everything and more that folk say it is.

I prefer club RL mesen but international RU, strange combination but perhaps the best of both worlds. Just like you I love sport in every form (especially beach volleyball ), primarily the Olympics which gives me most of them in a few weeks. I can't wait for our 2012 Olympics, I'm competing in the 75kg+.....................................Carling Cold supping tournament.

Re: Rugby LEAGUE disscusion thread
I dont mind it to be honest dont really follow anyone though, both hull teams do my head in as 99% of the fans are complete tards of the highest order and just blame most of the trouble on city fans who go when in the past couple of seasons ive heard of as much if not more trouble happening at rugby games than footy ones.
One thing is for sure though, its deffo better than rugby union which is complete gash imo.
