Where will Boro finish?
What are you realistically looking for from this season?
My bet for you would be top two, if you can get some momentum. You do look quite classy.

I think there is a few rolls of the dice to be made yet. All boro fans know we need a big guy up front and for one reason or another we are going to have to try and get a loan signing to fill that gap. If we can do that then we have every chance of a good season. At the other end losing Huth was a blow and we need poggy or Riggs to get fit sooner rather than later and to stay fit afterwards, we are a bit thin in all departments really.

Yeah you need a striker, especially since the 'prolific' Alves has gone now!
I think if you get a couple of players in, you'll be there or there abouts.

as long as they dont replace him with the equally 'prolific' Danny Webber as seems to be going round the last month

Ouch.
Granted, you couldn't have hoped to hang onto Tuncay, Huth and Alves, but I reckon you've still got enough quality to be competing with the best in this division on your day. A playoff place looks promising as far as I'm concerned.

I see Boro' with a Play-Off place at the very least judging by the quality on show against us. However most of the Yorkshire clubs seem to lack quality in depth and a couple of injuries to key players could 'kill off' some of their chances. I know we certainly lack a player or two as stand-ins.Dan_the_Owl wrote:borophil wrote:as long as they dont replace him with the equally 'prolific' Danny Webber as seems to be going round the last month

Probably got a good enough squad to compete at this level.
Hopefully get in a decent striker and a defender to replace Huth.
Wheteher we'll get directly promothed i'm not sure but would hope for play offs at least.
If not, its bye bye Southgate
