Just listened to Sod on player , seems like Hayter could have a achillies injury going for a scan tommorow, and Copps is struggling with his shin down to that dirty challenge the other night so is a doubt for saturday, martis doesen't seem to be getting any better and they are going to see how Sully is tommorow but might be on the Bench at Millwall..never rains but it pours, he did say we might have to look at bringing some cover in if things don't get better..

The way Sod seemed to talk, it sounded like he was subbed at half time to prevent a tear , hopefully it won't be that bad, although he did say he left on crutches..

Seriously it's getting beyond a joke. I know the pitch at the KMS doesn't help but wtf is ross burberry doing? ever since he joined us our injuries have been horrendous.

When I listened to it I understood Sod to be saying that if the achilles snaps he's out for the season which is reason for the scan to see if its torn and treat accordingly, whereas if its not a tear they can push him further

I got the impression there will be some more new faces in during the loan window

Did everyone come through the game unscathed today, don't need to add to the injury list...

The Injured

Shelton Martis
Simon Gillett
Joe Mills
James Hayter
Neil Sullivan
James Coppinger
Wayne Thomas
Matt Killgallon
Martin Woods
Mustafa Dumbaya
Adam Lockwood
Mark Wilson

Thats 12 players, and most of them would feature in a first team squad for Rovers, bloody hell who would want Sods job, just hope all those who played today came through ok..can see Sod going into the loan market soon, might not have any choice...

After 28 games last season we were in 16th with 34 points so taking into account all the injuries we're not doing too bad

As said, apart from the injuries we've got 4-5 players who can't be match fit yet. Its disappointing to lose to yet another last minute goal but at least it wasn't 3 or 4 conceded this time

With a large number of players currently unavailable to Sean O'Driscoll due to injury, the Doncaster Star have published an update on a few of the absentees.
James Hayter has an Achilles tendon injury and is to have a scan, as Rovers are currently uncertain as to exactly what the problem is.
James Coppinger was on the receiving end of some very "robust" challenges on Tuesday evening, and missed yesterday's game due to "a very sore" shin, and he did not train this week.
Goalkeeper Neil Sullivan has some swelling on his shin, and Rovers are looking to drain the fluid in an attempt to resolve the problem.
However, better news comes with defender Wayne Thomas, who has stepped up his training regime this week after recovering from a knee problem and should come into contention for next Saturday's game.
Martin Woods (groin), Shelton Martis (ankle), Mark Wilson (hamstring), Matthew Kilgallon (hamstring), Simon Gillett (knee) and Adam Lockwood (unknown injury) all continue to be on the absentees list. Rovers have not mentioned how well they have been recovering, so we presume that they are all some way off fitness at the moment.

It shows how the people who write these articles don't really listen. Sod was talking about Martis in his pre-Millwall interview Embarassed Mind you it wasn't good news

Just why do we always have more injuries then probably any other team, they don't all happen during games, so is it something we are doing in training, is it anything to do with that sports scientist or the medical people we employ, surely there must be something wrong somewhere...

It must be and needs investigating in the 'close' season..........we're doing something badly wrong and it's costing us dearly. Mad
Are we perhaps over training ?

Apparently Wednesday had a big injury problem when he was in charge too

Though we seem to pick up at least 1 injury from foul play a game

That's true but then again SO'D perhaps shows the same amount of caution that he does in the last 10 mins. of a match. Sad

And thats the reason we are struggling at the minuite, get some of those back in the team and we will start climbing the league, the problem is it will probably be too late to achieve anything this year....
