Hello and welcome to THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE.

This forum was set up on the 5th of September 2009 in order to give Yorkshire football fans a place to come and interact with fellow fans of all 10 league clubs in our county.

We operate a controlled environment, with each team having their own forum and moderator, to ensure everyone has equal rights. The main reason this forum was set up, was to allow its members the freedom to express themselves without the restraints some other 'multi-club' forums adopt.

However, abuse of other members will not be tolerated. Please keep discussions civil. If you are not prepared to behave appropiately, please don't register. Friendly banter between rival clubs is encouraged, personal abuse towards other members will result in a permanent ban.

He won't play for Sheffield Wednesday again, that much is certain. As for going out loan, I'm not bothered either way, what I can't see is who would take him. There's no suggestion that he'll score goals, and his poor temperament is well known. Would you want him? Twisted Evil

Laws said he will play him if he has to, and has said it isn't " The Wednesday way " to leave somebody out of the club when still contracted...... probably becuase he is on 13,000 a week...

I know, but I don't see us getting to a point when that will happen. With the addition of Varney and the use of Johnson as a striker, coupled with Tudgay and Clarke, we've got more up front than is first apparent. I'd almost rather roll the dice on Modest (where's he hiding by the way?) than play Jeffers again, just a personal opinion.

Is he really getting paid that much? Shocking. It's almost encouraging though to think what we might be able to do with that cash freed up when Franny's gone next summer.

There was talk of Notts County (logical I suppose, that being one of the few levels he could still score goals at, and they being one of the few clubs that could afford him), but I think it's bollocks. Sadly, I reckon we're stuck with him until his contract expires in the summer.
