Nunez Linked
In DFP we are being linked with Mr Nunez. Not really the steely like player that DS was saying we needed, but could be a good outlet if available on reasonable wages.

Re: Nunez Linked
DONCASTER Rovers have been linked with Leeds United’s Honduran international Ramon Nunez.
The 26-year-old signed a four-year deal with the West Yorkshire club at the start of last season after impressing in his debut season at Elland Road during which time he was named as the most valuable player at the end of the Copa Centro Americano tournament.
He also spent time on loan at Scunthorpe, for whom he scored three goals in eight games.
He scored a brace, including the winner, in United’s 3-2 victory over derby rivals Bradford City, in the first round of this season’s Carling Cup at Elland Road.
He also scored an impressive double in United’s 2-1 win against Rovers at the Keepmoat Stadium.
But Nunez, whose favoured position is playing behind the striker, failed to win a regular place in United’s side under Simon Grayson - now at Huddersfield - or his successor, Neil Warnock.
He only featured in seven games after the turn of year and he was on the bench in several of those.
Rovers boss Dean Saunders, who is known to be looking to add to his firepower following relegation, was unavailable for comment yesterday.
But he reaffirmed to The Star late last week that he can’t start bringing players in, as he looks to start to rebuild his squad for an assault on next season’s League One, until he off-loads some of his contracted players.
He added: “I’ve got a few things in place with a few different clubs and I’m just waiting to press the button.”
Saunders said that no decision has yet been made on whether the club will revive their Reserve side next season.
Saunders made it plain when he first took over at the club last September that a reserve team was one of his priorities.
But financial cutbacks and relegation may mean that his plans may have to be put on hold.
He pledged, however, that no matter what the outcome of talks on a reserve team that the five youth team players he’s recently signed would be given every chance to prove themselves over the next 12 months.
“We’ll try and get them out at a high a level as possible next season and we’ll monitor their progress,” he said.
“They’ll also train with us and I’ll be looking to arrange games every couple of weeks.”
