No way has O'Driscoll been interviewed. Things are way too good for him in Donny right now, I can't imagine why he'd fancy a pretty grim looking relegation fight.

I'm more sure about who I don't want than who I want to be honest. Names like Steve Cotterill, Nigel Worthington, Jim Gannon do not inspire confidence. This is such a huge appointment for the club, it is imperative that we find a gaffer who can instil fighting spirit and stir the fanbase. Failure to do so could be very costly indeed.

They would not give him the time he would need to turn the club around, look how our own fans turned on him in the early days, that would happen again and they would probably get rid, these clubs want instant success, which is why they are never satisfied.

Our current regime isn't exactly trigger happy, it took a run of several games without a win and a few without creating a goal scoring opportunity before they considered Brian Laws' position. And he was one of the longest serving managers in the division too.

But this is all hypothetical, since Sean O'Driscoll will certainly NOT be the next manager of Sheffield Wednesday.

Yep, looks like he is Preston bound, i really think the Owls need to get that job filled asap, Plymouth are just starting to find some form and Ipswich are turning the corner, you do not want to be left stranded down there its bloody hard to get out of, they need someone to take the lead.

Exactly, but there is no-one out there. Anyone half decent is obviously already at a club, and we don't have the money to pay off anyone's contract. Sean McAuley is not the man to take Sheffield Wednesday forward.
