Owls 3 Florists 1
Get 'em stuffed lads! We got sick and tired of their fans during the summer.

They started quickly and caught us off guard, and had fantastic chance seconds in.
They scored on 2 minutes and after that employed time-wasting tactics for the rest of the game.
The entire game was scrappy, they constantly closed us down, not allowing us to pass the ball so we just ended up lumping it to our very small front two. We managed to play some occasional good football, but in non-penetrating areas, and every passage just ended up with a chip to the strikers where they couldn't do anything with it, and we lost the ball.
They had by far the better chances with their counter attacks, that Paul Anderson from Liverpool was very impressive at times, Wes Morgan was a rock at the back. I'm trying to give them some credit but everything comes back to their constant time-wasting, they wanted the footballs brought to their feet, our players often had to fetch the ball for their free-kick. On so many occasions their players stayed down, then lept to their feet, the most pathetic was their keeper Lee Camp falling very slowly into the net, 'trying' to get up, staying crouched down for a while, then eventually sitting down, and then standing up and taking a goal-kick.
An unbelievably frustrating match, we just have to hope that the rest of the lesser teams in the league don't decide to use Forest's tactics because we can't cope with it.

Hmmmm the Trees don't alter much do they, however a team with so much class and history should have been able to 'brush' them aside without a by your leave. Sounds like you were bullied!

Pretty much what The Wednesday said. Morgan was their man of the match today, but I'm struggling to give them any credit for what was an incredibly negative performance. Okay, we didn't do enough to merit all 3 points, but some of their spoiling tactics were beyond belief. I'm sat right behind Lee Camp, and he just landed on the net, got a bit tangled, nothing more. Next thing he's on the ground feigning an ankle injury. Unbelievable. And he wasn't the only one, their physio done more running than most of their players. Also, Dexter Blackstock taking all sodding day to get off the park. The referee made no effort to punish their timewasting or early tough tackling, which didn't help.
Disappointing afternoon, I'm hopeful that against Boro on Tuesday, we'll have a lot more freedom to play.
