Well at least he said it as it was, he will have his work cut out but time will tell if he is the man to sort it all out.

IMO he is , he impressed me immensely in the Radio Deedah pre-season debate with his level-headedness. I find him a little bit like SO'D i.e. thorough and NOT over excitable like some of the other local managers.......................Just the man needed for a crisis.yorkie64red wrote:Nightmare wrote:http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/barnsley/8252835.stm

However the Dingles can't expect immediate miracles, hold steady , be patient and he should get you out of the woods!!

Could be right, it took SOD a long time to win over the fans, at many a club he would probably not survived, just look at him now, and i think the same could go for Robins, he will need time and the Barnsley faithful need to give him that, stability is what is needed right now

I'm willing to give him time, I think he can turn us round. I hope other Barnsley fans are willing to as well. I don't know if he was the right choice for us or not, but now he's here we might as well get behind him and give him our full support.

Fev you know how fickle S.Yorks fans are on the whole and you are right he should be given ample time to turn your team around. What the fans consider 'ample' may be the problem.FevTyke wrote:I'm willing to give him time, I think he can turn us round. I hope other Barnsley fans are willing to as well. After all our success over the last few years , there still are plenty of Rovers supporters who don't respect our manager and moan like fook if we don't win EVERY game whatever the opposition.
Could do with some more of your fellas posting on here though............are your sites resisting this forum ?
This is what all the fans in the area wanted i.e access to other supporters for banter!

I go on the Footymad forum but someone said the other day that the mod deleted the thread advertising this forum. The only other one I know of is the BBS site and it's been posted on there too.
Maybe the Barnsley faithful have gone into hiding they'll be back if we ever win a game
