DF: Johnson, Ferdinand, Upson, Terry, Bridge, A. Cole, Lescott
MF: Gerrard, Lampard, Barry, Walcott, Lennon, Milner, Beckham, J. Cole
F: Rooney, Heskey, Defoe, Crouch,zamora

Yeah, I'm fairly dubious about Lescott also, but I just think his versatility will give him the nod, . Lescott would provide cover in central defence as well as right back. Hargreaves can play the holding role + right midfield and right back. Johnson doesn't really have a direct replacement tbf.
Beckham and Rooney and Gerrard and Lampard have a lot of experience and MUST be taken,I would take a gamble with zamora if he is fit as he is more than proved himself,milner has a lot of class.
J.cole and Lennon are great however they need to prove they are worthy of a place.
Now Terry and Bridge NEED to just get on and if they refuse to get along and keep bickering then DROP em.

Joking apart I think Sharp could and would fit in perfectly well with this squad. Many a true statement made in what would seem at first glance to be a tongue in cheek post. Rooney and Sharp running down and harrassing the so-called thoroughbreds of Spain, Brazil et al would be very interesting. How these finely tuned teams would handle this sort of hounding is open to debate..................
